We have been training news agencies since 2002 and understand the techniques that need to be taught to quickly and efficiently cut a news package. It seems that the trend is for news cameraman to be able to shoot a story, then immediately ingest the media and cut a package complete with track, nat-sound, SOT, titles and b roll on a MacBook Pro. The finished package is then satellited to the station and goes on air. We have trained CBS NEWS, FOX NEWS CHANNEL and NY1 among others here in the New York City area and abroad. Since news agencies use different equipment, we can customize your training to incorporate the equipment being used such as the Sony XDCAM, Panasonic VariCam and others. We can also come to you on-site anywhere in the world. We can train 1 person or an entire news organization.

Introduction Course (1x3 hours)

This Intro. class can be good for the beginner teaching them to understand the basics of Final Cut Pro, but also for the advanced user trying to improve their workflow or learn more advanced editing techniques. If the student is at a beginner level with Final Cut Pro, in 3 hours we will focus on teaching them from the bottom up in an organized and easy to understand class, that helps them understand the basic editing techniques in Final Cut Pro. If the student is an advanced Final Cut Pro user, we will focus on the things they will need to know such as advanced editing techniques and filling in knowledge gaps they have in the software to help improve their workflow. So this 3 hour one on one training session in our NYC studio is a great class for beginners, intermediate and advanced users alike.

Crash Course (2x3 hours)

The Crash Course is an excellent class for those students with none to intermediate knowledge working in Final Cut Pro. Quite a bit of ground can be covered in these two 3 hour one on one training sessions here at our NYC studio. The 1st of the 2 classes will give the student a lot of new information to get them editing with Final Cut Pro on their own. But as they are working on their own certain problems may arise. This is where the 2nd class can really help the student realize what the problems are and how to fix them. Since there is a lot to learn in Final Cut Pro from a beginner and intermediate level standpoint, and the student can only retain so much new information in a 3 hour training session, the 2nd class in this package can really help level out the students learning curve in Final Cut Pro by answering all the questions they have in the second class.

Extreme Course (5x3 hours)

This is the course to take if you really want to try and master Final Cut Pro and/or have a project you would like to work on during the classes. With this 5 class (3 hours per class) one on one course, we can train a student who knows little or nothing about Final Cut Pro, to edit efficiently and confidently in a short amount of time. With this 5 class package the trainer will try to go over all aspects of Final Cut Pro depending on how fast the student is understanding the current techniques being taught. The students learning ability will determine how fast the trainer will go through the different aspects of the software. The trainer will never move on to the next lesson unless they are sure the student really understands the current lesson plan. That way every student will learn in an organized way and keep moving forward with the learning process. maintaining a good workflow and working understanding of Final Cut Pro.
